If you took the shortcut, you’ll be starting another journey

It has been a famous saying that life is a journey because indeed life is a journey. Imagine before you are just in your mother’s womb and she was the only one who can feel your heartbeats and then you came out and grew up into who and what you are now today. But as we grew up I realized how our journey keeps on going to the goals we first set before starting whatever we have now. It’s hard, isn’t it? Just like you, there are a lot of times I wanted to give up. I told myself that maybe at some point I should have just set my goals lower so that I wouldn’t be struggling to climb nor fly this high. But you know what? I just keep on telling myself just like anybody else that there is nothing wrong with dreaming to be on top of the highest mountain nor being the brightest stars because it’s all free. The only thing you have to risk is your courage to persevere and continue despite the obstacles you encounter and will be encountering along the way. Just pause and take a deep breath if you are tired but never stop or take a shortcut. Because if you do, you will have to start another journey.

Cooking can sometimes feel like a chore at the end of a busy day. It’s often tempting to throw a ready meal in the oven or call for take out. Breakfast at my House

During the week we’re often walking out the door with a coffee in one hand and slice of toast in the other, but on weekends breakfast is never rushed. It’s a late affair, sometimes spilling over to lunch, with lots of reading and chatter in between courses of fruits, poached eggs, honey and toast. One of our favorite things we like to serve when friends are visiting are buckwheat blueberry pancakes.
